High-Impact Therapy Sessions (HITS)

defined:

1.   The practice of providing clients the most effective therapy services, tailored to their specific needs without the usual constraints of time, cost, or manpower

At Couples On The Brink we believe that one-size-fits-all approaches (one therapist, 50 minute, weekly sessions) are outdated and oftentimes unhelpful to people, especially those on the brink. Such limiting practices do not address the stigma of attending therapy. Over the years, we have continually strived to bring innovative practices and techniques to our work with couples. Such innovation has unfortunately been relegated mostly to training and academic contexts. In our effort to bring the most effective therapeutic services to the general public, we have made High-Impact Therapy Sessions the standard of care at Couples On The Brink.

In addition, High-Impact Therapy Sessions are designed to challenge limiting stereotypes of traditional therapy so that people who are reluctant to go to counseling can see the benefits of getting outside help in a way that makes more sense.

Regardless of where you get help, be sure to ask your mental health professional if they can provide you High-Impact Therapy Sessions tailored to your specific needs.
